Hello welcome to London TV, I’m Lesley Collier, stay right there if you want the time of your life…
Dirty Dancing is the fastest selling musical of all time and is still wowing the crowds at the Aldwych Theatre. It’s set in 1963 and is the story of Baby Houssman, a puritanical peace corps devotee who goes to a holiday camp and meets Johnny Castle, the resident hip wiggler who teaches her to dance so dirty that even Christina Aguilera would be proud. The musical contains all the songs that made the film so popular, and I couldn’t resist the chance to meet the stars of the show to find out more. Feast your hungry eyes on this…
Dirtry Dancing is booking now at the Aldwych theatre until March 2008. Showa are Monday to Thursday at 7.45pm, Fridays at 5.15pm and 8.30pm, and 3pm and 7.45pm on Saturdays. Tickets cost from £25 to £59.50 and the nearest tube is Covent Garden.
